Interior Decoration

Interior decoration is one of the parts of the architecture. Architecture is an art of man at first devoted to the erection of tombs and temples which was changed to take care of comfort by providing with habitations. Interior decoration is the art of decorating a house or a room to make it attractive, easy to use and functions well with the existing architecture. The main aim of interior decoration is to provide comfort for the room by applying wallpaper, painting walls and other surfaces, choosing right furniture and fittings, such as light fittings, floor plans and
providing other decorations for the area such as paintings, sculptures and carpets. The real aim of interior decoration is as remote from mere imitation as it is from mere eccentricity no other than the creation of a beautiful and fitting home. In a fine sense interior decoration is one of the creative arts.

In addition to home interior decoration involves cabinet making, room layout etc and host of other design parameters that go in to making a home. The objective or the aim of home interior decoration is to functionally improve the home and make it reflect the taste and personality of the dweller at the same time. Innovative home interior decoration ideas, which cost less but at the same time giving the impression of an ornate design scheme are in vogue for new career professionals and newly married couples. The new trend of life-styling has given home interior decoration industry a boost. Focus has changed to harmony and function compared to uniqueness and good looking. Interior decoration has changed more drastically over the past fifteen years. Keeping track of new trends is essential for interior designer.
